EVENING SHIFT

WE HAVE PART-TIME AND FULL-TIME POSTS FOR FISH GRADER OPERATORS WILLING TO MULTI-TASK ON OUR EVENING- NIGHT SHIFTS AT THE FISH MARKET IN PLYMOUTH

It operates approx. from 1700 hours onwards from Sunday to Thursday inclusive. The part-time jobs are zero hour contracts which can be ideal for people looking to make themselves available on limited occasions; You should bear in mind that our busiest nights are usually Sunday, Monday and Thursday. We do not expect you to always be available when we call you but preference will be given to those who answer our calls most often

Things you need to know

You need to be 18 years and over; punctuality and reliability are essential; you need a good level of physical fitness for manual labour and you must be literate and numerate; above all we are looking for enthusiasm and initiative

Pay is £11.00 per hour for both full-time and part -time workers on this shift, paid weekly, with overtime paid at the same guaranteed hourly rate; protective clothing is supplied and training is given.

The full-time posts are Guaranteed Contract jobs of 35 Hours for the same shift as above. The contract allows either the employee or the employer to withdraw from the agreement after a month if it is not working for them. In the normal course of events we would expect the contract would be renewed for a further 11 months when it would be up for review again.

The entry to the Fish Quay is over the speed humps of the Plymouth Fisheries Complex and our office is on the 1st floor of the main building at the far end ofof the quay.

MORNING SHIFT

WE HAVE JOB OPPORTUNITIES FOR FISH DESPATCH OPERATORS WILLING TO MULTI-TASK ON OUR MORNING SHIFT AT PLYMOUTH FISH MARKET IN SUTTON HARBOUR

It operates from 0500 hours (5am) onwards, Monday to Friday with the exception of Bank holidays and Christmas. Holidays are the basic 4 weeks a year plus Bank Holidays. One of these weeks must be taken at Christmas when the fish market is closed.

These are Guaranteed Contract Jobs of 25 hours per 5 day week Monday to Friday inclusive. The supply of fish is unpredictable but overtime is available from time to time for employees at their guaranteed hourly rate.

Please remember public transport is not available for an 0500 (5a.m.) start. Unless you live within safe and sensible walking distance of the market you will need some means of transport from a push-bike upwards. The Company provides free parking for you.
