Our Suppliers

We have been based in Plymouth since 1977 with a strong background in vessel ownership and operations since the mid 1980's. Our fleet now comprises of 10 vessels with regular weekly landings year round of high quality demersal and pelagic fish. We are fortunate to work with some of the best local fishermen who have generations of experience fishing the waters of Devon and Cornwall.

Our demersal fleet regularly target prime mixed demersal fish, sole, plaice, monk, lemon sole, turbot, brill and cuttlefish with vessels landing directly in the Port of Plymouth or delivering fish the same day by road when working away from Plymouth.

The fleet benefit from the ability to diversify (targeting various species of fish) with opportunities to sail to different fishing areas based on the seasonal availability and quality of the fisheries.

Quality is paramount to our skippers who have been proactive in designing innovative low impact fishing gear to reduce environmental impacts and fishing costs - the upside of this innovation is that the fish landed is in superb condition. Our skippers are in regular contact with the PTA to ensure landings can be made in line with supply requirements to our buyers and ensuring good communications about trip planning and future supplies.

We enjoy longstanding relationships with the scientific community who regularly sail alongside our crews to observe and evidence fishing practices and catches - this approach is driving the scientific information and quotas of tomorrow and enables our fishermen to partner scientists in demonstrating a responsible and sustainable approach to our south west fisheries.

Independently recognised through the certification of MSC for certain fisheries and a commitment to the Responsible Fishing Scheme, our fleet will be working around the clock to deliver regular quality fish supplies caught with a responsible and sustainable approach.
